Dr Robert Silman is a Director of Doctors Club Ltd.
From 1980 to 2000 Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospital Medical School conducting full time medical research funded by the Wellcome Trust authoring research publications principally on the role of the pituitary hormones ACTH and endorphin in pregnancy and parturition, and the pineal hormone melatonin in growth and puberty.
Post retirement (from medicine) a theatre producer introducing Joan Rivers at the Edinburgh Festival then taking her into the West End of London (Theatre Royal Haymarket) and on a UK and Ireland tour. He has also produced Off-West End and at the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago, and the Beckett Theatre in New York. He has two patents granted by the US Patent and Trademark Office, “A Quality Filter for the Internet” (Patent: 7895202) and “Rewards for Unseen Website Activity” (Patent: 8311881).
